अमेरिका-भारत अंतरिम व्यापार समझौते पर समाजवादी पार्टी के प्रमुख अखिलेश यादव ने कहा, "बीजेपी बुनियादी मुद्दों पर बहस नहीं करना चाहती... आपने (बीजेपी ने) अमेरिका को 500 अरब डॉलर का बाज़ार दे दिया है। उनका 'मेक इन इंडिया' शेर जंग खा गया है...उन्हों ने कहा की बीजेपी के सदस्य बड़े ज़मींदार हैं, इसीलिए उन्होंने पहले बाज़ार चीन को दिया और अब अमेरिका को दे दिया है..."
Commenting on the US-India interim trade agreement, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav said, "The BJP doesn't want to debate fundamental issues... You (the BJP) have given the US a $500 billion market. Their 'Make in India' lion has rusted... He added that BJP members are big landlords, which is why they first gave the market to China and now to the US..."
